Our members derive their income, solely from the provision of periodic thorough examination and testing of engineering plant and equipment for statutory compliance, as required in support of their client’s commercial insurance contracts.
The main inspection disciplines covered by INITA members are:
INITA members also provide a range of engineering consultancy services to industry, insurance companies and solicitors, such as: expert witness, accident investigation resulting from plant failure, metallurgy, proof load testing, machinery condition reporting, and prior to purchase valuation and inspection.
We hold regular meetings, open to all members that contain both formal structured elements, promoting the professional development of members, and also a more informal social element where one to one or group discussion between engineers can take place.
The association aims to support members both by keeping abreast of technical developments, and by promoting the implementation of effective business systems and processes necessary to provide a consistent and competent service to customers.
Importantly, by listening to and promoting the views of its members, INITA provides them with a collective voice in discussions with the Health and Safety Executive, Governmental Departments and the wider business community.
Engineering specialists committed to providing focused statutory compliance examinations, testing and consulting services, designed to improve both standards of engineering plant maintenance and safety in the workplace.
